Safety Awards

On August 31, 2006 3-D Service was recognized by AK Steel for injury-free performance in 2005 at their Middletown Works. This was the fourth year in a row we received this recognition. 3-D Service has received the award every year since it was founded. Since 2002, employees have worked a total of 4,448 hours at AK Middletown without injury.

3-D Service also was recognized by the Ohio Bureau of Workman’s Compensation Division of Safety and Hygiene for its 2005 safety record. The company received the 100% Award, given to companies that operate an entire year without lost time injury or illness. The company also received the Group Safety Award for having the lowest incident rate in a safety council group.

ISO Certification

In August of this year, 3-D Service was re-certified by CRS Registrars following an ANSI/ISO/ASQ-Q9001-2000 reassessment audit that was performed in April. These comprehensive audits are performed every three years to reassess compliance with the standard. The registration covers the quality management system for the design, servicing and wholesale/retail sale of electrical apparatus.

3-D Service Featured By Chamber of Commerce

3-D Service was featured in the November 2006 issue of The Business Connection published by the Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber reporter Margy Voght toured the Massillon service center and corporate offices and interviewed 3-D Service president Bernie DeWees for the article, which highlighted our in-house and field service repair capabilities, our preventive and predictive maintenance services, and asset management services. WindPower 2007

3-D Service will display their Wind Turbine Maintenance and Repair Services in booth number 351 at WINDPOWER 2007 in Los Angeles June 3 - 6. In the booth, 3-D Service will display their complete service for electric power generating windmills to help extend equipment service life and assure power generation performance.

3-D Service will showcase its up-tower preventive and predictive maintenance for generators, couplings, gearboxes and controls, as well as its in-plant equipment repair and remanufacturing services for wind turbine equipment. The company provides service for all brands of wind turbine equipment and is an ABB Authorized Service Provider. It provides service across the country including 24/7 emergency service.
